How much is too much to have a pregnant coworker to say "I can't go to work today because I'm pregnant"?
The title itself is indeed sound very mean towards a pregnant mother who keeps on skipping work because she is expecting. Just like how some people are having bad menstrual period every month that they can't even to go to school, work or even go about their daily lives. I get it!!! I am also a working mother who used to carry my big belly but I obliged to my duty as required. I do feel lucky that my discomforts- morning sickness, swollen feet and fatigue- during pregnancy were tolerable. Still, I still turned up and would not simply call the office for a sick leave because I know it would trouble others. Even for monthly antenatal checkup, by virtue, one should take a leave for those appointments. Who would do the pregnant coworker's job? Every employee in an organisation has their own role and workload. Can you imagine by having someone taking leave, and you are given her job on top of what you have to finish? Will the boss pay you more as you are doing two-person job? Wor
