Perkasa hotel Keningau short review

Image
It is a good hotel but without swimming pool and spa package.  It comes with complementary breakfast buffet for two persons.  But the variety is limited enough to fill in hungry tummy. Seriously their restaurant is at the entrance/lobby of the hotel. The night before wedding dinner guests had to sit outside and looked at the projector screen to know whats ongoing inside the hall. The view from hotel room is the Keningau Sports Complex. Sink that I used to bath 10-month-old baby. Of course I disinfected it beforehand. It is a comfortable stay for a RM230 rate per night, clean and spacious.  And of course free WiFi with super good connection that I could blog this smoothly.

On Call Baby Care Centre in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Image
Head to Taska Medix if your jobs require parents to work on odd hours. I wish I have found this earlier as I really need this kind of service for I also work on weekends and sometimes extend working hours to late night. The place located near Kian Kok Middle school or simply google the German restaurant Gunter's gasthouse.  For a closer look on the care center.. I didn't able to take the interiors but rest assure that it is clean, organised, and separates rooms according to age of children- Babies, toddlers and preschoolers. I was so amazed looking at one babysitter surrounded by eight babies sleeping in portable carseats. The owner is a hajah from Peninsular Malaysia, and she has about 10 trained muslim staff to handle all children. As for child care fees include meals. From 2months to 2 years  FULL Dy: RM450/ month (free 1 overnight stay) Half Day: RM250/month (free 1 overnight stay). Hourly charges: RM20 for the first 2 hours and RM5 for subsequent hour.  Overnight and...

Bitching about Asiarasa Cafe in Karamunsing.

Image
As the title says, I am reviewing the cafe with negative comments after my first and last visit. Had good recommendations from acquaintances about how delicious those food are, decided to give it a try on weekend. Husband and I were surprised that the place was full and there were only half slots for patrons to share tables. But, the empty space was as messy as rubbish bin, no need to mention the floor. I insisted to leave to other restaurants available at the Karamunsing capital or other areas. But husband already sat on a half table hoping the crew would clean up the mess, but the worker only did so on the former's third call. We took turn guarding the half table..when it was my time to take the buffet spread of asian delicacies such as hinava, sambal petai, fish and etc, there was no plates. I waited and stood almost five minutes  before they took another stack of clean plates.  Ordered a warm water and laici bandung right after we were about to dig in. My angry meter start...

Review on Sabah Lucy's Kitchen.

Image
Lucy's kitchen is well known to foodies especially those with sweet tooth. But, I am not going to do review on its food. More to the restaurant's staff. As of now, there are two branches in Kota Kinabalu that include Taman Sri Kepayan near airport, and the other one is at Metrotown. While I live in between two outlets, we usually go both.  Yesterday was the fourth time we brought baby to Lucy's kitchen, despite of different workers on each visit, they would definitely over baby-friendly. I am not being arrogant for not letting them enjoying the cuteness and innocence of a little creature. But it doesnt matter male or female staff, both like to come near to baby-initially verbally greeting, waving, touching, pinching cheek and eventually carry her around. "Wei...the parents are around"!!!!! What if they didn't wash hands after toilet business? What if baby falls down when they carry her around? What if they spread flu/cough while handling the fragile baby? As a...

A resentment write-up for not having personal relaxation session for long period.

As baby turns eight-month-old, it also means that I had sacrificed every single days during that period paying most attention to baby and seldom to myself.  In a month, I work 22 days while the rest are my off days. Although it looks like I only take a whole eight days with baby, but bear in mind that every nights of those months I have to lull her sleep.  Aside from that, I have the duty to cook dinner for the three of us including husband and babysitter.  Additional cleaning up the toilet in master bedroom which easily get dirty as husband is also using it.  Even if I took a day off in two months to visit salon and spa, yet I still feel unsure or guilty for leaving baby with babysitter as I hardly trust others will take good care of the former as I do. After all babysitter, although is my younger cousin, she might feel tired and thus being negligent in caring the baby.   Mom, on other hand, is sort of assuming very important duty at church that she has to be t...

Taking care an 8-month-old baby

Image
Baby is reaching 8-month old this coming March 31.  She has grown two lower incisors in the early of last month, did not suffer much during the teething process though. Due to the new appearance, baby seems to look like a toddler with her bulky body.  As for gross motor development, she has acquired komando crawling, sitting and tearing papers. Now is in the process of climbing almost everything including on my tummy when she is held tight during pre-bed rocking session. Sleeping at night is only tough on putting her to bed, after that she sleeps like nobody's business. But once I get up for shower, she could feel my absence and sit herself up with blurry face.  Her daily menu, I think is more to Asian style, is a three main courses over the day. For breakfast, she has mashed fruits such as papaya, banana and avocado; lunch and dinner, baby will have a half bowl of blended porridge mixed with green leafy vegetable and poultry. On occasional days, she will have hard stool....
