This post is merely on personal view of the Qdees kindergarten which I enroll my daughter in this year. The principal has recently posted in parents-teacher Whatsapp group that the franchise has been awarded SME Brand Excellence Award in Best Global Franchise Model 2016 by SME Malaysia. Well, the excellence award obviously meant for business specifically the people who want to make money from early learning institutions...the information does not really relay the significance for parents whose main concern is their children's well-being at the school. Back to my parenting point of view, the reason I chose the school is I believe with certain standards to comply, I hope that my daughter will be taken good care of while I go to work. In short, no abuse. Image grabbed from Qdees website I paid over thousand include the monthly RM450 during registration in Dec 2016. The payment also include two (ugly) grey color uniform (with not-so-good)cloth quality, a set of...
This month, something unexpected landed on my lap. I was appointed person-in-charge for the bureau. Just like that — no warning, no ceremony, no survival kit. And as it turns out, the adventure has only just begun. If being in charge of full-time staff felt like managing a quirky little zoo, adding freelancers into the mix has turned it into a full-blown safari — one where the animals ask the same question ten times, pretend the fence doesn’t exist, and then complain that they weren’t told about the fence in the first place. Let’s talk about the latest “upgrade” in our daily chaos: the new system. Now, I understand that change is hard. New platforms take time. So I didn’t expect everyone to master it on the first try. But after ten — yes, ten — rounds of verbal briefings, followed by step-by-step guides, video tutorials, cheat sheets, infographics, and me repeating the same things so often I’ve started to sound like a malfunctioning GPS... we’re still stuck. Still hearing: “Wai...
It was my second time joining 10k steps walking for the year. Here I am joining Nestle's World Walking Day in Tamparuli. Early in the morning, it turned out to be chaotic as organiser was not prepared to hand over t-shirts for those who came by 6am (although the itinerary told to collect them at 6am). People were yelling and pushing each other while the gate was opened.at about 6.30am. While waiting for the event to kickstart,we went to one of the coffee shops at this small Tamparuli town for breakfast. Here is the sneak peek of the inadequate roasted pork noodle cost us about RM5.50 each. It tasted like Mee Tuaran, although it was known as Mee Tamparuli. The state sport minister fondly known.as Datuk JJ flagged off participants at about 7.30am, it was when the sun had emitted its unbearable heat. Luckily the walk had been reduced to 5,000 steps... When the crowd was released, it reminded me the himpunan hijau protesting the controversy LYNAS plant in Pahang. As w...
