workplace gossiping

If only people can channel the gossiping time into something positive such as improving their knowledge and skill, finishing up their work earlier than scheduled, or helping the underprivileged people- wouldn't it change the world to a better stage? I am filled with guilty feeling after attended my friend's dinner with his friends of same profession. Instead of discussing how to improve the skill, sharing knowledge and etc, they were badmouthing about other colleagues. I understand that gossiping happened anywhere, and also to anyone who see gossiping as a way to so-called escape from stressful working environment. For e.g. judging someone's else work is not good enough . Why don't one of the gossipers volunteering on teaching him/her?       e.g. criticising someone's being flirty to superior. Well, how does that help in our job performance? The capability of a gossiper to talk about others in front of us, qualify her/him to talk bad about us to

The dark knight rises (2012)

It's a movie that can't be missed this year for it's lots of surprising elements. Am quite admiring batman's(Christian Bale) access to futuristic technology such as its Bat, the black flying vehicle that is so agile and versatile to move around skyscrapers in Gotham (fictional American city in published DC comic). The vehicle has actually became the last resort to save the city as he had lost everything. Screenwriters Christopher Nolan and his brother Jonathan have set interesting plots to put the batman's most "trustable" accomplice cum sudden girlfriend Miranda Tate(Marion Cotillard) as the traitor for batman's saving-the-city plan. It is quite surprising to find out that Miranda is also the legend of a child who escaped from the inescapable prison. Miranda's real name in screenplay is Talia, the daughter of Leagues of Shadow's leader Ra's al Ghul. She held grudge over Batman for he had killed her father and later refused to fulfill Ra&

Pre-nuptial interview with priest.

I was googling up and down to search for clues on what the priest from my parishioner would ask me during the interview.  I could not find more. And I was wondering whether he would ask on how many times I prayed or read bible for a day, or might question my bible knowledge.. However, it turned out that those priests have standard questions of Yes/No during the one-to-one(bride-to-be or groom-to-be) interview. Firstly, the priest would request one to swear on a bible to swear that everything you said were truth. Questions are whether you are willingly get married (without being forced) and will commit whole-heartedly to the christianity marriage lives? He will also question on whether you have married with anyone at any means(church, culturally, at Registration department) before the current one? Then, the priest will also ask opinion on the pre-marriage course , and whether you are willingly follow and obey what had been delivered? As Christianity has always emphasised t

The victimised birthday baby girl.

A lot have turned down the invitation to a one-year-old baby birthday party. The main reason was the double-faced mother who bitch almost everyone in the office. It was such a scary to know that she is being nice and compassionate about you, but the moment you turn around, she started badmouthing about you. I never heard on what she used to bitch about me, but I felt choked and wanted to stay away from her when she said something evil such as "She/he is just stupid; I think its because of the girl was slutty that she got raped and etc...".  Cut short the story, she had to beg and assure everyone to come...texted, facebook message, and repetitively verbal reminders. Yet, not many people came to the party. Pity the daughter. If only she knows that her mother is a bitch, will she still respect her as a good mother.
