I am behaving like KL people.

The moment I touched down Kota-Kinabalu airport, I said out loud to a car owner blocking my family's car, "Move, move...can't you see we are moving" for few times. My fiance claimed I was carried with KL attitude-being demanding and mean in exercise own rights. Recently, this car shipping company agent in Port Klang had really got into my nerves by charging me RM2,300. The uncle was so nice to me, ensuring my car and belongings would not go missing with the price. Who knows, half of my items were stolen as I got back my car.  Initially, the staff including custom officers thought I was a sweet-looking innocent teacher who just got transferred back here. They were saying that I was draining my money for shipping the car to and fro within one year... I just ignored!! But the moment I found out the graduation gift-Doraemon plush toy was not in place, half of the sealed boxes were tore open.. I became another person. I described myself as the prison guard. I started

My last day in work.

I hate separation and long farewell to the environment and people that I have used to be with. It gives me the uncomfortable feeling and choking sensation as I do not know how to "swallow" it. Eventually, the last day working at the HQ of my work came today. I was so lucky as the boss did not assign me for any work.  Although I had no assignment, yet I still come early as usual. I approached the head xxxx, Mr Es asking about my latest performance. He told me that I had improved but it did not mean that I am doing well in it yet. "You are still have the hope as I can see that you have passion in this job. "You still have time to pick up what is amiss in your profession. Another five years from now, you would be like your other seniors who suck up bosses to advance their career,". He gave me advises on what should I do at the new environment-including buying good books, building good contacts, submit impeccable work to HQ and etc. Aside from spending 7

Putrajaya trip, and on cruise.

Once you reach Putrajaya, look for a Tourist information counter, and there's a lift heading to ground  floor to board on the Tasik Cruise. There are various types of cruise. I took the air-conditioned ferry which brought me around the man-made Putrajaya lake for 45 minutes. It costs me RM30 as I am a Malaysian. Although it is an air-conditioned closed space area, but it is still warm inside as the roof is transparent. The direct sun-light made me feel so uncomfortable. A little seasick as well. I was quite annoyed as there's a translator for tourists from Middle East countries, she interrupted my process of digesting the explanation by the english-speaking guide. It worsen my seasick. The magnificent mosque. This bridge gave me the feeling as though I was in Venice.  The latest buildings. Look like toys...      After the tour guide is done with the explanation, it is the time for the ferry to make a U-turn. During this time, tourists are abl

I am afraid to be home alone in a big city.

I have always pretending that I could cope with the fact to live in this big city, Kuala Lumpur. Along this one year of survivorship here,  I had made myself more alert with the surrounding- holding my bag tight, walking very fast, wearing dull and old clothes and etc. As sometimes I came back quite late at night because of my work. The street going back home is a bit dark and infamous for high crime rate (nowabdays, more people are walking back and thanks to police officers to patroling the area at every interval hour). That was the everynight fear that I have to overcome while on the way back home. Sometimes, I felt and wished there would be someone to call and assure my safety. Used to have one, who told me to turn down the overnight for the sake of my security...but it was just a history. At home, as I was renting a room, and staying alone at the whole unit. Occassionally, I would scared of noises like door-knocking, things dropping and etc as I thought it could be someone tr

I am glad Ramadhan month is over.

Do not get me wrong before finishing up reading this post. Although I am not obliged to fast for the whole day (As I am not a muslim), I do enjoy breaking fast with my colleagues who are observing the practice. Really appreciate the feasting moment... However, instead of applying what the religion has taught them to do good during this holy month, I had came across with few people who smear the good thing about the practice. For instances: a) A facebook friend posted in a group wall stating:   "Hanya yang berpuasa akan menikmati keindahan Hari Raya," (Only those who fast will enjoy the Aidilfitri). Some of you may think she was preaching about the religion, but she has to know that the group consists of multiracial members. Hari Raya, Chinese New Year, Deepavali and other festivities are meant to create harmony and joy among community. Therefore, what with the judgment in public column which will make others think that muslims are fanatic and full of hatred? b) Not l

One-day trip in Malacca historical site. Alone

Image
I took intercity bus from Bandar Tasik Selatan bus hub in Kuala Lumpur to Malacca at the cost of RM9 per person. It takes about two hours to reach at the Malacca sentral. Surprisingly, when I bought the ticket back to Kuala Lumpur at the Malacca sentral, the Transnasional charged me RM12.50. I heard about the awesome Jonker street which offers most non-halal Malacca specialty many times, so I targetted the place as the first to visit.  I've read from somewhere in cyberspace that I could get a bus at Malacca sentral heading to the place, but when I go to the platform(Mahkota Parade), the bus was cramped. Ended up taking domestic taxi who charged me another RM20 per 13 minutes of drive. I have to say that Malacca is another "country" as it has its own identity as mentioned-the nyonya laksa, asam laksa, chicken rice ball, their handicrafts and etc. **I ordered this Halal Chicken Rice Ball at Malacca Sentral. It was cold. The roasted chicken has thick layer

Hantu Gangster

I am always giving support to movie producer who is trying to improve their product. Yes, Namewee has done it much better than last time. Well done for trying to instill the 1 Malaysia concept in the movie, it was screened timely in conjunction to coming Independent Day in Aug 31. This time, more celebrities including Amber Chia, Jalaluddin Hassan, and few others were included in the movie. It shows the Malaysian artists are aspire to build undivided harmony among three major races in Malaysia. Thumbs up!!! (But, where is Adibah Noor?) As funny as Namewee has alway been, this time the lame jokes are lessened. The script required the actors to act according to reality...and yes, some reality are funny on its own. E.g The indian police stopped and chatted casually with another indian guy while chasing Namewee. The sad factor, as it has always disturbed my emotion, is the relationship between father-daughter, and also Namewee and his "son". When the female teacher was

KFC green curry.

Image
Have you all tried the KFC green curry during this Ramadhan? I had!!! As a customer, I am satisfied with the green curry gravy. It tastes so Malaysian, not really spicy but rich in taste- specifically loves the green and well-cooked peas. The KFC green curry combo set sold at RM11.20+tax consists of two pieces of chicken(choices of spicy or original), a fragrant white rice, 150ml of curry gravvy and carbonated drink. On the menu board, it was written as FREE UPGRADE TO ICED LEMON TEA...However, the cashier told me that I had to pay RM1.50 for the "free" upgrade. I thought the Iced lemon tea was recommended because it would go well with the dish. But, it turned out that the drink tasted "weird" (I wasn't sure if it's the hygiene matter that alter the freshness of the drink. I bought them from Brickfields outlet). I suggest just go for the carbonated drink. Overall, 3.7/5. ps: I still prefer the TOMYAM!!!

Book Taxi online in Klang Valley.

Image
Yes, you are right on ordering taxi service online in Klang Valley. You may write down your time, destination and departure locations in the Taxi monger.com. Later, the agent will respond via the contact number that you provided while making the booking. However, as I tried to book online for a short destination of about 3km, there's no reply or respond from them. During that time, I was charged for RM4 for attempting to book twice (as I said, because there were no reply). I decided not to wait for them, and walked a bit to get taxi on the streets. Hmm, perhaps old school is better.

CICA-Care and Hiruscar gel.

Image
The Cica care, do not really know how to pronounce it, cost me about RM113.50 for the size of 3cm x 12cm. That size can actually be cut into half, to fully cover my raised 12-year-old reddish keloid car. Pardon me for the ugly creature...which most of the time will scare children away, and make adults have second look of the gigantic 'paramesium'. The silicon and sticky strip can actually last about 2-4 weeks, so mathematically for 2 months, I only spend RM100++ for my treatment, which is a lot cheaper than doing laser/removal surgery. This is how it adheres to my skin, I really don't have to worry it will fall out as I do my work, or even during exercise...(except swimming). Occasionally, I will have strong urge to scratch my itchy patched keloid during sleeping time, because of what the Cica care is doing-depressing the scar. After about two weeks usage, the edge (the sides where I use to remove) becomes like above, is an indicator that it
