Registration fee at Qdees School in Sabah.

Hi, should have posted the school fee details earlier than school opening for 2019. But I thought that it could be use for comparison in terms of fees in future.


  • Registration fee: RM60 
  • Building Fund: RM50
  • Material fee: RM260
  • Book Term 1, 2, 3 and 4: RM780
  • Chinese Book: RM110 
  • Uniform 1 set: RM43
  • Gym wear 1 set: RM33
  • Insurance fees: RM30
  • Pictures of 6 year old: RM65 (Dont expect much from this, I kind of dislike how they photograph the kid pix like for funeral...touch wood).
  • January Fees 2019: RM285 (half day)/ RM460 (full day)
  • November fees 2019: RM285 (half day)/ RM460 (full day)
  • Handbook: RM5
  • Breakfast: RM40

It is a shame that as a local, I only get interested to taste fresh Sinalau Bakas at Kampung Kelawat. A stop enroute to Kundasang from Tamparuli. Just key in Kampung kelawat in waze or google maps for the direction.  In this post, I will share my own experience having the food at the Kampung.  Meet Mariana, a local who runs the stall for the past eight years. Review on Qdees school.

This post is merely on personal view of the Qdees kindergarten which I enroll my daughter in this year. The principal has recently posted in parents-teacher Whatsapp group that the franchise has been awarded SME Brand Excellence Award in Best Global Franchise Model 2016 by SME Malaysia. Well,the excellence award obviously meant for business specifically the people who want to make money from early learning institutions...the information does not really relay the significance for parents whose main concern is their children's well-being at the school.  Back to my parenting point of view, the reason I chose the school is I believe with certain standards to comply, I hope that my daughter will be taken good care of while I go to work. Will people aged 40 and above still can find decent jobs?

A casual chat with a friend aged 40 and above struck me hard when she said age does play a role in determining a person can still look for new job.  Her recent cases where she no longer has better opportunity or responses like when she was young when trying to enquire for new jobs or pay-per-project. The limiting factor is her age despite having vast experience under her belt.  Probably with more experience, employers are worried or not so keen in paying more for the experience although it could mean that the jobs can be done better and faster.
