Think Big Big- Movie review (spoiler alert)

My birthday falls in February and thus decided to redeem golden screen cinema free movie tickets.

Unfortunately, none of the movies screening just right after Chinese New Year are meant for such redemption.

Since I had planned to watch Malaysia's Think Big Big movie, I forked out RM15.50 for the 110 minutes movie (excluding GSC's annoying and wasting time advertisement).

Movie Synopsis from GSC

Moon is a happy and confident plus-sized girl. She’s working as a mascot performer in a theme park. She never cares about how other people judge her until she accidentally involved in a slimming competition. She even becomes the “Nation Goddess” who is constantly being watched by the netizen.

Getting lost in the fancy internet world, Moon’s life has turned upside down. She loses the support of her parents and even her besties. What can she do to regain her true happiness and win back the people she loves?
If you are a Malaysian or Singaporean, you could immediately relate to how the cast members using the not-so-proper Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay and English. Basically, it is really a rojak language being used by the Malaysians.

As this movie is released during Chinese New Year 2018,  it does good in delivering good messages for people nowadays in the world of digital era.  How important is it to fake your life to satisfy your followers? Why strangers take over the space meant for people who really care of you regardless of who you are in real world?

The main cast, Moon, who lost 70 kilogrammes in the movie, is played by a 22-year-old beauty Queen Serene Lim. Her acting skill is quite good and 'able to make me hold the tears' in the cinema. Especially the time where her parents carried the round table from their hometown to Moon's house during reunion CNY dinner.

Love the soundtrack of the movie?
