Marriage is not going to work these days?

Today, January 8 2012 seems to be a date to remember marriages are not going to work.

Couples need to rekindle their romance as more marriages hit the rocks sooner

It's estimated that most young married couple can withstand the marriage for the most five years. It is affected by the working pressure, modern thinking and financial problems occur on BOTH female and male. 

Not so happily ever after

Even Katy Perry divorced her 14-month husband Russell Brand, reality star Kim Kardashian and basketball player Kris Humphries within 72 days; while Britney Spears filed divorced after married for 55 hours with childhood lover-Jason Alexander.

Also New Sundays Times's article stating even though a couple might married after certain period, they are still possibility of 'underlying' extramarital relationship. 

"Extramarital affairs present a challenge in many marriages, and “disclosure of marital infidelity qualifies as an emotionally charged event for most couples”. Research estimates indicate that 50-66 per cent of married men and 45-55 per cent of married women have been involved in extramarital sex whereas in another survey"

CLEO Malaysia magazine also comes out this 'infidelity' issue this month: Love Bites, Heartlines:Relationship detours.

- The issue revolves around the factors that 'you' and boyfriend will break-up and also the signs that it could be a dead end.

The first question popped in my mind was, 'Why get married if the end result is divorce?". Yeah, I expect the answer to be, "Well, I never really know that it would happen, and I also dont want this thing to happen,".

Analyse from what was reported on short-lived marriages, the similarity of the cases are those women have careers- a successful one! Could it be if the wife is stay-in-house type, it might salvage the unit?

But again, women are also human being who want to be outspoken, outgoing and outrageous. It is so true that fulltime housewives could be ugly, unattractive, dull, out-to-date? and also stand the chance to have a cheating husband for not being able to be as attractive as the outside women. (But by sacrificing, she brings good food on the table, house in good order, children have someone to lean on when they get bullied and etc). 

Men, sometime can be equally disgusting as some might be very unhygienic, lazy, good in snoring, change the tv channels at the speed of 30 clicks/minute, stinky socks, misplace their things and request wife to look for it, dirty the bathroom, talk foreign language, think thing as if they are aliens and etc. Women are almost contrast to every other thing that they hate their men to do. 

Compromise? After being hassled by boss, backstabbed or bad-mouthing by colleagues, and stucked in unnecessary jams... The room to tolerate any nuisance and nonsense could be minimal! 

As conclusion, God helps the people to find matching couple or not at all.
