At 37th week of pregnancy...

It means that the "Bun in the Oven" is well cooked!!! Bree has reached the necessary maturity level for her all organs.

However, I have yet show any sign of delivery which I am so anticipating as carrying this huge belly is not that fun although I started to gain attention or special treatment by public- people tend to let me their seats, speeding up business so that I don't have to wait long, and offer to top up petrol fuel and etc.

A day before I reached 37th, I felt few gush of fluid  coming out from my vagina as I was driving back home. However, there's no contraction felt right after the feeling. However, husband was so worried when I re-confirm with him on the signs. When I reached home, he actually sniffed at me to sort of "differentiating" whether I was leaking urine or liquor. I checked in the toilet, it was odorless and clear fluid that wet the front part of my undies.Changed to new underwear and immediately washed the old one. Surprisingly, husband was waiting outside the bathroom and demanded to have a look on the stained underwear...we then waited for the sign of regular contraction (which supposedly happen with progressing intensity) , but there was none. Neither there was any sign of feverish that usually indicating infection due to the leaking. Fetal kicks were strong as usual.

The arrival of this baby seems to transform this husband into a better man. Despite busy preparing for his masters exam and coping hardly on his tight working schedule, he always remind me to inform him immediately should I show the signs.

He has been considering a lot on my health as well- husband exerts control on types of food I should have or should not have. As a wife, it is a common rule to cook for the husband when I am at home. But, knowing that cooking (and cleaning afterwards) would make me tired, he would offer to have meal outside. Yes, it wasn't a great gesture, but those make me feel that this pregnancy worth a lot.

Doctor's Visit
Previously, when I did follow up alone with an Obs specialist at a private clinic, he would eventually successful in making me cried with the 4D ultrasound speculative findings that the fetus might have dilate bowel syndrome which she would not be able to pass motion. And, husband had to console and convince me that the ultrasound result may not be accurate.

However, when husband accompanied me during the latest followup with the same doctor. The consultant almost didn't touch on the said possible syndrome when husband was present. He didn't even use 4D scan that time.

Earlier, he kept on indirectly pressuring both of us to opt for Private hospitals for the procedure as he deemed that both of us were earning good income and deserved better standard of care. The ironic was, we were planning to deliver baby at the government hospital which he is working there for full time.

During the consultation, he assured us that junior doctors and nurses could possibly the people who would handle the delivery. Thus, negligence or error rate could be higher.

He also said this, " FYI, the rate to go into Caesarean section in government us 25 per cent which is almost the same as in privates,"..the doctor was trying to justify which institution was better, but failed.

At the end of the visit, he wrote a referral letter for us to follow up with his 'friends' who are in private hospitals.

Justification
I texted few people who had experienced delivering babies at private hospitals.  They'd spent at least RM2,000 for a three-day stay on normal delivery. Room and Service were ok-ok only. The specialist was only available when the os opening was at 9-10 cm.

Based on few friends who had bad encounters.
1/ Some had a third-degree tear for being told to push the baby earlier than it was supposed to.
2/A high-risk mother was referred back to government hospital as the private couldn't handle the complication.
3/Sick baby also being transferred to government hospital as private has no neonatal intensive care unit.

Therefore, I am going to government hospital for delivery.
