How to cope inflation?

SABAH recorded an inflation rate of 2.4 per cent as of January this year, said Chief Minister cum Finance Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman. (theborneopost online).

With the unstoppable of inflation in Malaysia, particularly in Sabah, one should start thinking how to handle own financial because all prices have gone up.

The simple principle of the economy thing is about the demand versus with supply.  Sources became limited but there are still people wanting it, thus it became expensive.

This is the least way, but effective to cope with the inflation:
a) stop or reduce the frequency of eating out as the food price in Sabah is undeniably expensive. Get ready to fork out RM10 for a meal. When compare dining at home, one could save around RM5 per meal.

b)Food matter: In case one could not avoid dining out, perhaps avoiding meat-based as those will cost higher than vegetables. Plus, vegetables are healthy and non fattening diet.

c)Food matter: Why order sweetened drink when plain water is good enough to replenish the body?

d)  Plan your journey, including avoiding route which usually have traffic jam. We all are well informed with the ever increasing fuel price. (At the same time, we should think green, combustible gas is hazardous both to the environment as well as our health, so, why contribute more?)

e) With high consumption of air-condition will also increase cost of living. Apparently, we only switch on air-cond when the weather is unbearable. Isnt it?

f) Stop buying unnecessary items as if one will die without them. After all, those things will eventually piled up and the unnecessary throwing agenda will have to take place again.

g) Movie? If going in a group, why not buy a pirated DVD and watch together at home?of course it depends on the mood of the audiences, whether is it the cinema environment or the storyline that they want.

h) Its time to take up better job with better payment. Stop treating yourself equal as immigrants. Its not that beggar has no choice, we do have the right to get better employment. (Does anyone notice why the local employers especially chinese population is exploiting their workers by giving them RM350 wages despite of the working hour is more than 8 hours per day and 6 days a week?)

i) If current wages is not sufficient to cope the crisis, well, why not doing side business? Anyone knows that recycled items like paper, aluminum and metal can changed into cash? Bakery, tailoring, and etc are also a booming business in the state. Again, why not?

I know that it would be easier said than done. But, that's the challenge to survive in this challenging world.
