Why the bad english?

LABIS: Are teachers incompetent, or school books unsuitable?
The Education Ministry will look at these factors to determine why students continue to have a poor grasp of the English language.

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who is also education minister, said the ministry would review the curriculum with regard to the teaching of English as well as identify the reasons behind students’ poor command of the language.

Muhyiddin said even after learning the language for 13 years at primary, secondary and matriculation levels, some students still could not master English.
“I have no answers for this problem. I will ask the (Education) director-general to review the English curriculum to find out the reasons behind the problem.

I am not pinpointing educators here, it was just devastating to see the continuous method to be taught to schoolchildren. There is a saying in chinese, stating that when the superior is bad, his followers will follow suit. 
But having good command of language shows the level of civilization. Something has to be done to solve this poor english phenomenon in the state. 
We require hardworking and up-to-standard teachers to produce future elite generation.
It is a fact that not everyone is good at something at particular time , but as educators, it is some sort of necessity to upgrade self with current knowledge, everyday. 
When I was a schoolkid, I always look up and never loss respect toward their professional. From them, I learnt a lot and they actually motivated me to never cease to seek for information. 
Children themselves, should emphasize the language. 
I realize there had been a lot to debate on emphasizing the mother-tongue language, which is Kadazan-dusun in this state. 
In working life, it is never a loss acquiring skill in English, Mandarin and other languages. So, it is time to aware about the future. 
Parents too, have to lead by example by doing what teachers have to do.

Review on Qdees school.

This post is merely on personal view of the Qdees kindergarten which I enroll my daughter in this year. The principal has recently posted in parents-teacher Whatsapp group that the franchise has been awarded SME Brand Excellence Award in Best Global Franchise Model 2016 by SME Malaysia. Well,the excellence award obviously meant for business specifically the people who want to make money from early learning institutions...the information does not really relay the significance for parents whose main concern is their children's well-being at the school.  Back to my parenting point of view, the reason I chose the school is I believe with certain standards to comply, I hope that my daughter will be taken good care of while I go to work.
