Looper

The first movie I watched with husband. went to Suria Sabah, and it costs us MYR10 each.

In 2072, when the mob wants to get rid of someone, the target is sent 30 years into the past, where a hired gun awaits. Someone like Joe(Joseph Gordon-Levitt), who one day learns the mob wants to 'close the loop' by transporting back Joe's future self (Bruce Willis).

Prior to watching this movie, I do like the concept of time-travelling. But I was wrong, the time-travelling was merely the storyline that lead to the core story of the rainmakers- a group of people who were assigned by the mob to kill members of Loopers in future.

As the old Joe was back at his past, he seemed to be a different person than the current Joe. Old Joe deeply felt in love with a Chinese woman who got killed while the rainmakers came for him. Old Joe could not accept the gruesome tragedy and decided to change the past- by killing the three kids with exceptional capabilities...to kill.

In other hand, present Joe had different opinion on killing all rainmakers...he came to a farm meeting a pretty lady, Sara (Emily Blunt) who mothers one of the rainmaker-to-be kid.  He had been protecting the family until old Joe came for them. Present Joe killed himself to save the family.

Flow
This is a futuristic movie, which it will bring audience to present, forward to future and backward to present. Those who want to watch this movie have to have understanding on how the present individual will affect the future.
 For example, there are two times where the present injured their arms to send "message" that became scar at the same future individual's arm..

My rating: 8.8/10. Really love it.
