Nestle 10k Steps Aka World.Walking Day.

It was my second time joining 10k steps walking for the year. Here I am joining Nestle's World Walking Day in Tamparuli. Early in the morning, it turned out to be chaotic as organiser was not prepared to hand over t-shirts for those who came by 6am (although the itinerary told to collect them at 6am). People were yelling and pushing each other while the gate was opened.at about 6.30am.
While waiting for the event to kickstart,we went to one of the coffee shops at this small Tamparuli town for breakfast. Here is the sneak peek of the inadequate roasted pork noodle cost us about RM5.50 each. It tasted like Mee Tuaran, although it was known as Mee Tamparuli.

The state sport minister fondly known.as Datuk JJ flagged off participants at about 7.30am, it was when the sun had emitted its unbearable heat. Luckily the walk had been reduced to 5,000 steps... When the crowd was released, it reminded me the himpunan hijau protesting the controversy LYNAS plant in Pahang.
As we passed by row of wooden houses near the town, most of participants were pinching or covering their noses from the pungent smell, believed to come from a row of wooden houses rearing pigs. Afterward, the journey wasn't that bad when organiser included the well known "Jambatan Tamparuli" as part of the route. My family and I found it was entertaining to walk across the bridge as it swayed when we were above 500meter from the river.
I completed the walk within 30minutes...as I was dragged by my slow-walker brother.
